Magic in the Spotlight as Hong Kong Disneyland Resort Launches 20th Anniversary With The Most Magical Party of All!
BANGKOK, June 30, 2025 — Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) has officially launched its year-long 20th anniversary celebration with The Most Magical Party of All! The day-to-night celebration brought the park to life with music, color, and unforgettable moments shared by guests from across the region.
More than 1,000 invited guests—including celebrities, content creators, media, and partners from across Asia and the U.S.—gathered along Main Street, U.S.A., brimming with excitement. The celebration kicked into full party mode as Mickey Mouse and his pals, joined by Duffy and Friends, made a grand entrance in brand-new 20th anniversary party outfits that shimmered under the lights. The energy soared as performers took the stage, launching into the catchy anniversary theme song while the crowd clapped and swayed in joyful unison. Just when it felt like the night couldn’t get more spectacular, Main Street, U.S.A. transformed into a canvas of color. Vibrant pyrotechnics danced their way toward the Castle of Magical Dreams, fireworks and a fleet of drones lit up the sky, forming the glowing 20th anniversary logo high above the castle—an awe-inspiring moment that brought the crowd together in celebration.

As the evening continued, the celebration carried on with an afterparty in Fantasyland, where the energy stayed high and the magic felt even more intimate. Guests danced to an irresistible mix of Disney favourites, as a live DJ spun feel-good tracks that kept the atmosphere buzzing. Laughter echoed through the air with the crowd grooving and soaking in the joy together.
Mickey Mouse made a magical entrance riding atop Dumbo the Flying Elephant, gliding past the crowd like a scene from a dream come to life. Not far behind, six Disney Princesses took a royal spin on the Cinderella Carousel, waving gracefully to party guests as they passed. Beloved characters roamed throughout Fantasyland, greeting guests with warm smiles, spreading joy and turning magical moments into lasting memories.

Start Your Celebration with “Disney Friends Live: Party at the Castle!”
Guests can start off their own 20th anniversary celebration with an electrifying concert-like show called “Disney Friends Live: Party at the Castle!” This anniversary-only show brings vibrant energy, stellar visual effects and gigantic props to the front of the Castle of Magical Dreams. Guests can dance and groove alongside Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Duffy and Friends, as well as Disney Princesses Aurora, Tiana, and Belle, all wearing never-before-seen party attire. It’s a lively celebration that cannot be missed.
HKDL’s Largest and Most Spectacular Parade “Friendtastic!” Brings the Magic to Main Street, U.S.A.
As the excitement builds, the all-new “Friendtastic!” parade will burst onto Main Street, U.S.A. with dazzling energy. Featuring 11 awe-inspiring floats, appearances by more than 30 beloved Disney Friends, and over 100 performers in total, the around 30-minute parade is packed with surprises and hidden Easter eggs at every turn.
The parade will begin with a burst of rhythm as Mickey Mouse takes the lead, drumming live on the opening float and setting the tempo for the celebration. For the first time ever, Duffy and all six of his friends will appear together on a single scenic float, delighting fans with their playful charm. Woody from Pixar Animation Studios’ Toy Story is also featured, driving his RC Racer float with high-energy flair, then Mike and Sulley from Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. will make a lively entrance sure to draw cheers from the crowd.
There is also a Walt Disney Animation Studios Zootopia-themed float that features a Hong Kong-inspired skyline and marks the debut of Officer Clawhauser at Hong Kong Disneyland. Shortly after, a float inspired by Disney Animation’s Big Hero 6 brings one of Hiro Hamada’s invention to life. Guests will see Baymax’s articulated arm and the transformative Megabot puppets along with choreography that adds movement and momentum to the performance.
Throughout the parade, performers will interact with guests—waving, dancing, and encouraging guests to join in during the show stop. The experience will build to a royal finale as Disney Princesses, dressed in newly designed costumes, glide past on a float inspired by the Castle of Magical Dreams.
The Grandest “Momentous – Party in the Night Sky” Delivers a Dazzling 20th Anniversary Finale
“Momentous: Party in the Night Sky” is truly the most magical show on earth. This 20th anniversary edition features an anniversary-only prelude created just for the celebration, extending the experience to nearly 30 minutes. Mesmerizing projections sweep down the entire length of Main Street, U.S.A., alongside magically inspired drone choreography that paints the night in light.
The enhanced nighttime spectacular comes to life with nearly 200 all-new scenes and the debut of new characters. For the first time ever, the night sky will dazzle with magical appearances by Disney Animation characters, including Fairy Godmother from Cinderella, the Genie from Aladdin, Duffy and Friends, and many more.
As the prelude reaches its conclusion, a glowing “2” and Mickey head come together to form the signature 20th anniversary logo, setting the stage for the breathtaking show to follow. This dazzling spectacle features eight multimedia elements, including majestic 3D projections, synchronized drone choreography, illuminated water projections, choreographed water fountains, flames, lasers, theatrical lighting, and pyrotechnics effects, delivering a unique celebration of Disney magic in a way only Disney can do.
The majestic projections along Main Street, U.S.A. envelop guests in a breathtaking immersive experience like no other. In a stunning moment inspired by Disney Animation’s Moana, waves appear to surge dramatically down the street, immersing guests in the epic climax as the Heart of Te Fiti is restored. The enchantment continues with Pixar’s Coco, as delicate marigold petals fall from above and blanket the street in a warm orange glow. The journey builds to a thrilling climax as Disney Villains take center stage, brought to life through dazzling lighting and vivid visuals. Guests are sure to be drawn into the heart of these stories like never before.
