Mr. Akanat Promphan, Minister of Industry, <\/strong>presided over the opening ceremony of “EEC EXPO 2025 \u2013 Opportunity for Prosperity, “<\/strong> a landmark platform of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) that paves the way for Thailand\u2019s economic transformation. The event is organized by the Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand (EECO), in collaboration with the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) \u2013 TCEB and supported by more than 100 partners across the public sector, private enterprises, and financial institutions. The exhibition serves as a gateway to showcase the EEC\u2019s potential, strengthening connections between Thai and international investors through a wide range of activities. Highlights include academic forums on crucial topics such as \u201cMega Project, Mega Impact: Accelerating EEC\u2019s Core Infrastructure to Drive Thailand\u2019s Economy\u201d and \u201cShaping the Future of EEC with Clean Energy and Sustainable Water Management.\u201d In addition, the Business Matching sessions offer opportunities for investors, buyers, and entrepreneurs nationwide to engage directly with businesses operating in the EEC area. By bringing together key stakeholders and demonstrating the EEC\u2019s readiness to support investment with comprehensive mechanisms, EEC EXPO 2025 reaffirms Thailand\u2019s role and ambition to become the Regional Investment Hub. Dr. Supawan Teerarat, President, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB<\/strong>, stated that employing MICE as a strategic mechanism is a key driver in elevating regions toward economic and social success. TCEB is also committed to promoting meetings, exhibitions, and business events as tools to create new opportunities for localities, particularly in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), which is one of Thailand\u2019s most important strategic zones.<\/p>\n

She emphasized that EEC EXPO 2025 is a clear example of how MICE can be integrated into economic development\u2014serving as a platform for international networking, business negotiations, and matchmaking. The event enables investors and entrepreneurs to gain access to in-depth insights as well as government measures and facilitation that are fully in place to support them.<\/p>\n

The EEC EXPO 2025 will mark a significant step forward under the vision of \u201cEEC 2030 Vision: Driving Thailand\u2019s Economic Future,\u201d with a focus on enhancing key infrastructure within the EEC, developing targeted industries, and creating an ecosystem that supports high-quality global investment. In particular, the EEC is prioritizing five high-potential industries: next-generation automotive, smart electronics, comprehensive healthcare and medical services, high-value tourism, and the digital industry. In addition, advanced technologies will be further integrated into both the manufacturing and service sectors to strengthen Thailand\u2019s long-term competitiveness. EEC EXPO 2025 will therefore serve as an important platform not only to showcase progress in infrastructure and various mega projects but also to create strategic partnerships between Thai and international investors, which will help drive Thailand\u2019s economy toward stable and sustainable growth.<\/p>\n
